The BDM is primarily responsible for the sales of BPI products to existing clients and prospecting for new clients with a focus to support their requirements and assist them to grow their business. This will be accomplished through strong leadership skills, a willingness to work in a collaborative environment and executed with a high degree of communication. The BDM will utilize these skills to drive the focus towards achievement of corporate goals and objectives.
Retain & Grow the existing business
Prospect for new business opportunities across all distribution channels
Meet or exceed sales business plan by market/customer
Manage warranty/returns within plan number
Provide competitive information to various departments per request
Maintain active prospect list
Prepare periodic reports. Assist in preparing quarterly and annual business reviews and or budgetary items.
Attend trade shows and business related functions as required
Analyze customers’ market for inventory control utilizing available tools including SmartStock
Participate in zone projects – changeovers, warehouse moves, blitzes, etc.
3-5 years of technical experience with fleet customers preferred
Aftermarket industry, and customer knowledge preferred in the automotive aftermarket
Valid Driver’s License – history record required
Strong MS Office skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
Excellent leadership skills with a passion for sales and motivating people
High level of business acumen
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to conduct research and data analysis
Strong Negotiation skills
