Livernois Motorsports and Engineering is seeking a dependable Local Purchasing Agent to join the our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you must be able to perform daily purchasing functions to achieve company and department goals. Negotiate prices, sourcing vendors, and obtaining general purchasing objectives.
Write purchase orders with various vendors and able to replenish inventories at predetermined levels.
Order parts on a daily basis as needed per job requirement
Source components from new vendors
Communicate and follow up on orders
Maintain appropriate inventory levels and make necessary inventory adjustments as needed.
Create new part numbers and assign to correct accounting accounts
Evaluate monthly stock/open order reports
Process vendor returns for each vendor.
Interface with all departments in a helpful, positive manner.
Work directly with shipping/receiving personnel
Create a "Team" environment, both internally and externally
With the direction from supervision, organize daily work assignments and ensure completion.

Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screen. Plus have a valid drivers license.
5-10 year of purchasing experience
Automotive knowledge, preferably in the aftermarket automotive performance parts
Product and operational knowledge or previous experience in negotiating prices, sourcing vendors, and obtaining general purchasing objectives.
Good computer and telephone skills.
Proven mathematical comprehension; notices inconsistencies in numbers.
Analytical and memory skills enabling individual to track inventories, prices, due dates, forecasting, changes in agreements, and provide informational spreadsheets and documents.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, exciting work environment
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and often with a sense of urgency
Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
Have and maintain a satisfactory driving record as well as current driver's license.
Comply with company policies and procedures
