Position Summary: This position is responsible for answering product related questions, generating and processing sales and educating potential customers on product lines in an in-bound environment using phone, email, live-chat and CRM and promotes aFe products at car / truck events. The successful candidate will have intermediate to advanced automotive knowledge, thrive on customer interaction, follow-through and attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Answers phone, online and in-store consumer and customer questions related to products, order status, sales quotations, installation inquiries, technical or warranty issues and facilitates expedited resolutions.
Ensures a superior customer service experience.
Enters sales orders in NAV ERP, per established procedures.
Educates customers on aFe POWER products and vehicle applications and recommends product solutions based on needs assessment and inquiries.
Prepares daily and weekly progress reports.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge of aFe product lines by pursuing training and development opportunities.
Collaborates closely with internal departments when needed to answer product related questions or escalate technical product issues for resolution.
Represents aFe POWER at car/truck events and promotes brand as needed or assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to meet and exceed consumer retail sales goals.
Intermediate to advanced automotive and mechanical knowledge highly preferred, with ability to acquire specific knowledge of aFe POWER product lines and vehicle applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service acumen for communication by phone, chat and email.
Superb interpersonal skills including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
Strong data entry skills with high level attention to detail and accuracy.
Superior organization skills and ability to multi-task.
Familiarity with ERP systems; MS Dynamics NAV, desirable.
Moderate computer literacy in an MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) environment required; ability to navigate files and directories; experience with CRM preferred.
Collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to a team effort.
Availability for occasional weekend event staffing.
Education / Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with one (1) year experience in in-bound call center, counter or retail sales, preferably in automotive aftermarket, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
