Northridge 4x4 is looking for its next Jeep enthusiast to join our team as a Shop Technician in our SLC location.
Shop Technicians are responsible for installing parts and accessories for our Jeep customers. They use quality control methods to ensure that all builds are complete before the Jeep leaves the shop. Additionally, they maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop while working under general direction – and are entrusted to have a high level of independent judgment.
Where you’ll spend your time:
Following instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take
Using the proper equipment and techniques responsible for jeep modifications including but not limited to suspension modifications, gear changes, armor install, lights and wiring, tire installs, winch/recovery gear installs, motor conversion and installs, Re-Gear a differential etc.
Performing general mileage interval maintenance
Performing Safety Inspections
Maintain a high level of technical product expertise and support for installations and use, product compatibility, and other related technical knowledge
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop
Other duties as assigned.
You have/are:
High School diploma or equivalent required
2 years’ minimum work-related experience or combination of education and experience
Drive train service and ring and pinion experience is a plus
Mechanical experience including Jeep related knowledge is a plus

Requires wearing specialized protective or safety equipment
Requires regular standing for extended periods, bending, pushing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and other repetitive motion and movement
Requires ability to use tools, welding equipment, vehicle lifts, compressors, and other specialized tools
Requires exposure to hazardous conditions and equipment including exposure to contaminants, sounds, and noise levels
Requires exposure to shop environment with varying temperatures.
