Quadratec is currently recruiting and interviewing for a creative, motivated, and digitally enabled Instructional Content Writer with Graphic Design experienceto join our fast-paced Private Label team. The ideal candidate will be an avid car enthusiast who is a conceptual thinker and has a mechanical mindset with a visual imagination. This candidate enjoys working with Jeep® and/or off-roading vehicles installing aftermarket parts and accessories and will create the best-in-class installation experience for Quadratec’sPrivate Label brand and products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with R&D team for comprehensive development of instructional content for Quadratec’s Private Label
Disassemble and assemble automotive aftermarket parts and accessories to develop and implement instructional “how-to” installation manuals, for print and digital
Design user experiences based on the principles of instructional design and usability
Produce clear concise photographs for use in design layouts when necessary
Author content and create copy for instruction manuals
Lay out material for publication
Partner with design team in the drafting & designing brochures, catalogs and creating publications as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong writing and editing skills with experience in content and instructional manuals
Excellent analytical, mechanical, and critical thinking skills
Experience creating user assistance and interactive learning content, print and digital
Ability to apply design thinking to create a positive learning/content user experience
Capacity to turn complex information into human understandable content for everyday use
Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Proficiency in Adobe CC applications, specifically InDesign
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent attention to detail
Skilled at producing original photographic artwork for print content, a plus
Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and work independently
Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent teamwork to engage productively with other design professionals
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years’ experience in automotive industry with demonstrated technical abilities to install automotive parts and accessories, specifically Jeep products, preferred
Experience in graphic design, instructional design and/or product documentation, a plus
