Required Skills and Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Significant hands on experience and knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of muscle car restoration.
Ability and desire to enhance the quality and culture in our shop through respect, recognition, motivation, leadership, inspiration, team building and growth.
Ability to think strategically, including the ability to visualize next steps and whole project planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work alongside and lead multiple technician teams, by utilizing your technical knowledge and hands on skills in the shop to help build our customers' dream cars.
Understand and articulate the shop's vision to all individuals inside and outside of the shop.
Assist technicians to understand customer expectations and scope of work while fostering technicians ownership of the project. Implementing shop standards and preventing redos while focusing on efficiency and productivity while motivating and encouraging innovation.
Mentor and coach technicians to improve skills thru training and set goals for continuous individual growth.
Manage time by prioritizing projects and resources efficiently and effectively. Prior experience utilizing a Gantt Chart would be helpful.
Monitor customer budgets and build timelines
Maintain spreadsheets and customer management systems to coordinate workflow assignments with team leaders
Improve estimate accuracy and monitor estimated vs actual time on projects.
Create, train and implement policies and procedures
Participate in interviewing, hiring and training qualified new technicians.
