We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to represent our west coast customers. The position would sit remote with 50-75% travel to customer sites and would be responsible for budgeted annual sales volume in regional territory. Identify and solicit profitable new business while successfully managing established customer relationships. Position will be placed remotely anywhere on the West Coast.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain customer contact internally (CS, Finance, Product and Category Management, Training, Supply Chain, and Warehouse) and externally to ensure customer coverage and problem solve as necessary. Monitor status of accounts receivable and work with Finance and customers to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Work with all internal functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction.
Support independent rep agencies with sales calls, information exchange, and product changeovers.
Provide input to assist in planning and product forecasting.
Responsible to create and execute sales forecast and budget.
Provide market intelligence for pricing, market share, and aftermarket trends to maintain competitive market position and communicate pricing to customers.
Responsible for prospecting and new account set up and customer order processing utilizing ERP system.
Represent ZF at trade shows and related industry functions as needed.
Represent the needs of the customer in accorder with ZF company policies.
Provide back up within department and perform related tasks as needed.
50-75% travel required.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree required or equivalent experience.
3-5 years customer service or sales experience required, automotive/mechanical aptitude and expertise helpful.
Must possess effective presentation, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
